Dedicated to Employee Engagement and know that having the right work place culture can mean the difference. After years of trialling what fancy dress works, and whether an annual sports day is the answer to engagement – they can truly say they’ve tried and tested it all.
Having passion for culture is what drives them to pursue a better workplace for all, and have learnt that culture dictates profit growth along the way. So they may not be hosting pancake flipping competitions, or deliberating over whether a ping pong table will drive engagement, but they have a clear focus on the modern workplace and how to build the right culture for the right organisation.
I am determined that everyone can maximise their potential at work. Over a decade ago I was a struggling single parent with 2 children Bebee and Rye (now adults), never thinking I would have a career, being engaged at work changed our lives as a family, so now I want to change the lives of others.
Harnessing what worked when I was Culture Director for Chess, where with a team of Cultural Ambassadors we galvanised the 120 million pound turnover Technology Business go from 63rd to 1st in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work for in the UK, I set up Engage Your People Ltd.
I am continually driving the Women in Technology agenda and I am proud to sit on the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partner Board, Women in Technology North, Women in Technology UK Boards and Women of the Channel Advisory Board.
I really believe in inclusion and belonging for everyone and want to try play my part in achieving that.

It’s really really scary, I am always out of my comfort zone, I am continually learning, every single day I find out something new and every day I Interact with people who I learn from.

Leaving university with a degree in Psychology, I had already focused on the effect of Stress on employees as part of my dissertation, so I immediately wanted to work in a business environment that cared about its people.
I joined Chess in June 2015 and straight away knew the culture was something I wanted to be a part of. Working in roles all over Chess, including Customer Service, Escalations, Sales, and Leadership I had the chance to learn everything there is about customers.
The culture at Chess over the 4.5 years I worked there, enabled me to develop into a driven individual with a passion for engaging the workforce. Working for the Cultural Team there has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in my career. Now working as Head of Customer Engagement at Engage Your People I can put my passion for culture in work and my passion for customers together.
